We noticed one of our 4 week old peeps has a twisted beak. We gave her a syringe of water and she drank it. It doesn’t surprise me as they jump all over top of each other when I’m in there doing anything and when they panic like babies do. Will she grow up with an injury like this? I would almost say it’s like a dislocated jaw. Any advice is appreciated, she doesn’t seem to be in pain

It's a condition that frequently becomes severe as the chick matures. Such chickens can have problems eating. Providing moistened feed in a deep pan makes it easier for them to eat. Bottom line is that the chick will have to be monitored throughout its life time to make sure that it is getting enough to eat.

Thanks!! Is it congenital or an injury?
I will do that. Thanks so much.

I am relatively certain that it is an inherited trait. For some reason it is not uncommon in Easter Eggers.
Ok! I will watch her closely. I have two beautiful mature Easter eggers and they lay great eggs. Bought 6 this spring and all was well till we noticed this. Many thanks!
