twisted middle toe

I've read many of the crooked toe and crooked feet threads and articles, and the description of these problems are much more severe than the single toe twisted on each of this chicks feet.

One of my newborn mutt chicks has the middle toe on both feet slightly twisted. Very odd. This was the last chick hatched in the clutch. 10 hatched under broody , this one finished in the LG hatcher.

Hens are Free ranged ; free access to layer pellets, 20% game feed available as well as green grass to the hens.

Is the twisted middle toe a long term problem? Or will the chick out grow this?

The twisted toe is likely going to be a long term issue unless you repair it. The long term problems are not all that complicated and the bird may be absolutely fine with the toe as is, but she will be at greater risk of bumblefoot because she will not be putting weight on the toe in the proper places. She will get callouses and injuries to less padded areas of the toe if she's walking on the side of the toe rather than on the cushioned sole of the toe. Other than that, she should be OK.
