Or mareks?
Did he prescribe any vitamin supplements ?
Has she gotten into moldy feed?

@Llg681, does your hen grasp your hand if you push on the bottoms of her feet? Are you familiar with a chicken sling? I’m not sure if this is a good idea here, but throwing it out there.

She is in the bottom of the pecking order because of how docile she is. She has her own separate inclosure that we keep extremely clean and safe. It cannot be head trauma from another chicken.

Thanks. I was thinking more along the lines of being bullied off feed, but she has her own feed, right? What do you feed her/them?

The site will not let me post video for some reason. No moldy feed. We have really warm weather here all of a sudden so our best guess was she got into something with bacteria, but her stool came back clean from vet.

Her neck is extremely contorted. I try to help her straighten it and it just knots itself up again. Twists around and goes into her chest, then she lays on it. The vet said it's not mareks disease

Sounds like wry neck to me.

What treatment did vet recommend? Did he tell you to give her vitamins or pedialyte or wet her food?

He prescribed an antibiotic and something to help her digest food....honestly they told us they have no idea what it is and to put her down. My mom didnt have the heart. The chickens name is Baby, she is her absolute favorite

Welcome to BYC. She looks gravely ill. Can you post where you are located in case that can help? Has she been outside free ranging? Can she move her legs or wings? Is there any nasal or eye drainage, or do you see any gasping or respiratory symptoms? Could she have eaten anything that was under water or under groung buried, where botulism might be a problem? If you have any vitamins such as Poultry NutriDrench or Poultry Cell, give her 2 ml slowly. Also offer her some chicken feed, crumbles or pellets with a lot of water in them, plus a bit of cooked egg. Have you ever had any unexplained deaths in the past?
