Both lay dark cashew eggs. I bought them from different people. One is an only survivor of four. and i think has poorer genetics almost looks like i dunno..glaucoma Appearance Sometimes appear glossy.
I dont know if chickens can have glaucoma lol but heres photos of them. The one with the odd eyes looks nicer #1 and the bcm with the normal eyes in pic#2, i think is how marans eyes should look more ideal? The first photo included is the one with different looking eyes. Maybe im crazy..lol hence the one in pic#2 looks kind of more rooster like in eyes but i kmow positively she is in fact a hen laying eggs.LOL my question being am i crazy or are they totally different appearance in their eyes???

from what I can tell from the photo the colour certainly looks the same to me and I'd not say they were very different.
