Two bloody combs and a missing spur...

He started limping when the core became exposed. He is roosting but I have separated him into our new bigger coop. If his pad is dry how do I go about preventing bumblefoot?? He will be inside a dry coop all week.
I figured the limping was from the spur damage.
You could put the feet in a very shallow pan of epsom salt water, don't get on the spur since it's tender. Soak his feet to help soften that up. I would apply triple antibiotic ointment to the foot pad and wrap it to help keep it clean. That might help to soften it up and heal. Since you are going to keep him up for a week, do this daily (soaking, ointment and wrapping). See if that makes a difference. I would inspect it daily to see if any sore develops or if the ointment draws up anything.

Unless I'm looking at him wrong, he's a Favorelles? So he's probably a heavy boy, his feet look slightly puffy, but then again, big boy too.

He is a Faverolles, 3 years old and a body like a football lol. He does have thick legs and feet. Besides the rough look he has no lesions or shiny abrasions. He has been running and roosting fine till the spur issue. Lol I doubt he'll tolerate an epsom salt bath, but I'll give the ointment a try. What would be the best yet least intrusive wrap material??

Well, if he was moving along fine before the spur got damaged, he may not need any wrapping or ointment. You could just keep watch on the foot pad (inspect it weekly) and see if it gets any worse.
