I have two girls who went broody almost 2 weeks ago. I am totally fine with it except they want 93 degrees tomorrow. My coop is small-maybe 4 by 6 or 5 by 6 and I am nervous they will cook if they stay sitting. will they go out and cool off?.............................

Hens are very dedicated to staying on their eggs, they won't do anything to put their eggs at risk. When my hen went broody she rarely got off. Maybe you can buy a little fan to put in the coop?

I'm guessing that they are sitting on fertile eggs, right?

yes... definitely fertile. had been missing eggs and my girls free range. two leghorns were hiding the eggs I didn't know where. finally found a nest of 24 eggs... not a one leghorn. no idea how long they had been collecting and the dog chased the hen off. So after 3 days I finally got around to picking them up and trying to decide what to do with them. threw them all in an incubator and 3 hatched so definitely some fertile. Hoping for better odds this time...one cochin and one orpington on a total of 7 eggs. I have no electric to the coop so a fan isn't an option...thought about opening up the back of the coop- just for ventilation but don't want to spook them. ugggggg- I thought all my weather worries were over once the freezing temps were over-now I am all worried all over again.
