Two broody hens

Good news my two broody hens are mothers now. My buff cochin has at least 8/10 hatched so far 2 black/ blue astrolorps and 6 new hampshires and my little bantam RiR just hatch 4 of 8. One of the hatched eggs was cracked and i used candle wax to seal it. She has 1 black sumatra chick 2 dark copper marans and i got a throwback french wheaten maran from a dark egg.

So far so good. All the littles are mixing no hen fights each both hens are pretty placid. Will keep you updated.

The hens went broody so we bought some eggs off a local breeder

I've never been able to have 2 broodies in the same area let alone a bantam and a standard. Nice! And awesome job to your ladies! Hope they both get extra treats.
