I have a speckled sussex sitting on 18ish eggs, day 5 right now. Same day my D'anvers started sitting on her eggs so I slipped a couple of my Modern game bantam eggs under her, unsure if my MGB roo was successful with her. I checked today - THEY ARE DEVELOPING! I cannot be more excited about those brown red modern game babies! I HOPE they make it. First time broody for my D'anver, so just praying she stays put and her eggs, along with my mgb eggs make it!

I need to move her though, she ended up making her nest, on my porch, in the cat house!

She’s not going to like that! Hopefully she will continue to sit on the eggs if you move her.

It worked! She's still on the eggs, in the cat house in a secure run!
Took some worry off me. We don't have many predators but can't be too sure
Glad it worked out! Wishing you the best of luck with hatching those little moderns! I have one in the incubator currently that’s fertile, and it seems that it is about the same hatch date as yours!

Good luck with yours!
At candling they seemed to be developing fine, so I'm praying at least one hatches! I wanna see their babies!

Those are some nice birds!!! They are very pretty and good laced! Now I’m looking forward to seeing their babies as well! They’ll have good skin color too, since the hen is dark faced! (Just a heads up, if any babies turned out dark faced, don’t breed two dark faced brown reds together, it lessens color quality, so always breed dark faced to red faced!)

Good to know, thanks!
I definitely need to find a third, but they're so hard to find in my area apparently. I got lucky with these two and snatched them up before someone else did. Awesome to hear they're a good pair. Now I'm even more antsy to see if her eggs hatch!
