Im needing some advice.

I have two hens that have gone broody on fertile eggs, and for some reason both will try to sit in one box together. When I grab one, she willing will go into the nest box with the other eggs. But I have to keep checking to ale sure it hasn't happened again.

The eggs are about a week apart, putting them into one nest isn't something I can do, correct? The box is the favorite of all for some reason. It's built with three nesting boxes, with them using the middle. I moved her to a side one, but keeps going to middle after a break off the nest.

ive even tried using a carrier away, which she willing goes into, but goes back to the middle box when done. Im worried the eggs will be killed if she keeps doing this.

the coop and run isn't really configurable to block one off. My hens are free range and only get locked up at night.

Im going through the same thing now. I've just marked the eggs so I know which ones go to which hen. I have to check several times a day to make sure they're where they are supposed to be. I really don't know what's going to happen when they start hatching. Hopefully ill be there.I thought about making a cage out of wire to slide in between them.

I'm almost tempted to use the covered cat box I bought for the first time and put it in the garage with her. I'd have to keep her penned in there until hatch. I don't trust my incubator enough yet, still working it to get the kinks out. LBG with a temp swing of +/- 5 degrees.

: that may work. But I know from past experience from my two that if I move them they will go crazy until they get back in the box. Hopefully you'll have better luck.
