Two chickens in a nesting box?

One day i found two of my chickens in the same nesting box...i wasnt sure why...can anyone explain??


heres the pic the white chicken didnt seem to want my polish in there with her she was pecking her but the polish didnt move

My chickens do exactly the same? I was very confused , since we have 2 nesting boxes next to each other but 3 of them were laying in the same one. I just went with it and left them? They aren't even laying on any eggs. But stay there the whole day. I'm still confused but I don't think it's anything bad

They do that. I have 3 nesting boxes and only one gets used. I'm thinking of switching to a community box

ok yeah i thought it was weird and...if they arnt laying on eggs that probably means that they are broody!

If they are roosting at night, they arent broody.

All 6 of my girls will lay in the same box, and I have 6 boxes for them.. They all choose to share! I've never had any problems between them though.
