I think I'll wait to butcher them until I can harvest some nice feathers. One of them in the past few days has been starting to show the most marvelous little red spots on his wings. Actually he's really cute, it's like his wings are too big for his body , I guess he has some adult wing feathers but not the adult wing muscles!!

I'm trying not to get too attached, though. People keep asking me their names and I'm like, nope, not going there!!

You could give them names like "Soup" or "Chili" or " Fried Chicken."
That would give you an answer when asked, and make the point about what will happen to them.

You don't even need to give them the same names every time. It might be funny to call them after a different food every time someone asks

I call mine by their band colors mainly.

Though I do find that if I assign them names when I put them on Craigslist they sell better.
