Real quiet here this morning.
Took dogs and birds out at 8.
Had coffee took it to DH gave him ice water two pancakes
with eggs on top. Had my mcmuffin myself.
Nice day on here suppose to see 70.

I heard a baby fawn bleating today. We found it nestled in the tall grass and left it alone, hoping that mom would come back.

Ever since last evening it is raining cats and dogs and according to the weather folks will go on for the entire day and upcoming night.
Rain was long overdue and one can see and hear the relief it brought not only to us humans but nature as well.
So houseworks it is and some peaceful hours on the sofa reading.

Another one of my momma hens is preparing to wean her chicks at today exactly 5 weeks old and after laying her fourth egg.

Good morning Cafè and thanks for the coffee @LaFleche.

I have lost two of the shipped chicks and am struggling with a third. I started working with her yesterday morning and fully expected her to have passed overnight but she is still here and actually a bit stronger. So I've got another day of nursing a baby and hoping for the best but expecting the worst.

My head cold managed to get into my lungs and when I realized this early yesterday morning I was a bit concerned for HTG. I texted him and asked him if he was still feeling okay and he assured me he was. Later that morning there was a knock at my door and he showed up with the ingredients to help me make a concoction to help boost my immunity! Man oh man I think I've landed a great one!

@DobieLover, one of my neighbors suggests mullein tea for chest colds. Should you happen to have any dried mullein leaves around. As far as I know, she's never tried it.
