So we have four light Brahma chicks that are now five weeks old. And five more that are now two weeks old. I plan on moving the bigger set to an outdoor coop as soon as it warms up a bit more here. My question is can I move my younger set into the bigger brooder with the older/bigger birds to give them more room and then keep them in that when the big ones move out until they can handle the outdoor temps? Or is it better to keep them totally separate until they can all live outdoors?

No problem. Our one girl in the youngest group was getting beat up by the two cockerels there, so we went ahead and pulled her and another one at five weeks and stuck them out with the eight week olds. They did just fine even with the more gentle rooster in that group.
Thanks for checking!
