I have two different sick chickens. We were asked to care for a found chicken who i kept away from my mixed flock for a week. i started to introduce her during the day she seemed fine. after about day four she strted to hide and seemed to become sneezy. i then kept her away and it been a week and a haly ive been giving her nutri drench and vet rx. any suggestions ?? The second chicken is from my first flock about 5 yrs old she has has a dirty bottom feathers but clean vent. She was laying on her side like she was dust bathing on concrete so that wasn't normal. She just acting odd not like her usual happy self. she was hiding for a few day but always ended in the coop at the end of the day. I been giving her the same nutri drench and vet rx but i also gave her wormer too. any help would be great.

Sneezing will either clear up on it's own or it will need antibiotics to cure it.
Sounds like the new sick chicken may have brought a respiratory infect in.

Did you worm the entire flock or just the one poopy butt one?
What did you use and how much of it did you use?

It seems like a possible respiratory disease. I would read this link for info about infectious bronchitis and mycoplasma (MG:)

New chickens are normally quarantined for at least 30 days, and good biosecurity measures used to detect any signs of disease or parasites in the new chickens.
The older chicken could have many different things going on, but I would check her crop to make sure it empties overnight, feel of her breastbone for any weight loss or any fullness in her lower belly, see if she is laying eggs recently, look for signs of lice and mites especially around her vent, and make sure that she is drinking some water and vitamins with electrolytes. Laying diseases can be common in order hens, things like egg yolk peritonitis or internal laying.

just had a random other chicken die in my arms what the f do my chickens have . Bringing the dead one to Dr Hitchner to do a necropsy (im sure i spelt that wrong)What would all of you do out there i know ive come across some really smart chicken people

I m so sorry for your loss. :hugs
Necropsy is a wonderful idea.
It will let you know what you are dealing with so you don't have to guess.
Please update this thread as to what they find.
