Two duck pips so far!! Update, they are out!!!

Yeah. I got him last May I think and he was about a month old. SO this is his first breeding season. He is pretty comical to watch tho.

My incubator has decided to go wonky again after a week of pretty stable temps. I've found/removed 2 eggs with blood rings in the last 2 days. We had 33 incubating well for 2 weeks but we are down to 29 now, bummer. We opened 1 of the eggs and don't know what went wrong exactly but I am guessing bacteria. The second we opened looked like it had dried out significantly but I can't understand how because we have been keeping the humidity at 55-60% and misting the eggs at least once a day.

Hey, buying shipped eggs is a gamble, and it could be MY fault as well or more likely a combination of both.

I wish my male was a pekin. He is a Harlequin and the females are all pekins.. HMMMMM.. not to smart on my part was back when.

There are some very nice sellers on here with Pekin eggs if you want to try for a male Pekin sometime by incubation.

Personally, I think harlequins are VERY nice. I hope to get some one day.

Yeah, I love the way he looks. Just wish I had a male that matched the females. Would like to get a harlequin female too. I have some eggs in the bator that I could see moving last night. So cool. They will be a pekin/harlequin mix. should be interesting. Going to buy 4 day old pekins after I get off work today. They are supposed to be at the farm store today.. CHICK DAYS ARE HERE!!!!! yeah. These are from Cackle Hatchery in Lebonon Mo. I am so excited..
