TWO EGGS AT ONCE!

Here is the story.three days ago a small cream egg from my silkie maran cross.(her first) This same day I ran out of food so they got a treats only day Just till I could Grab some food from work where I keep a few layers to sell. Next day nothing. Today i get a call from the hubby informing me that two soft misshaped eggs were broke in the hen house Early this am before work. where a few of my ameraucana pullets ( tho I'm thinking one may be roo) were making a snack of it. This evening two more small cream eggs where she laid last time. I go out and visit my chickens several times a day and always look closely for eggs. Tomorrow I plan to Seperate her to know for sure! However. My coop is one ee roo. one old maran hen who rarely if ever lays. A point of lay maran who has yet to lay anything. Two young ameraucana and Fuzzy Tweet Tweet. (named by the two yr old.)

Is this normal?

Sometimes a hen will skip a cycle and lay 2 eggs in one day, however its uncommon, and usually the second egg is a softy.
