It was definitely the polish. The other two girls lay brown eggs. I only have three hens. She definitely laid two in one day. She had not laid any eggs in at least a couple of months. She's laying almost daily now. I guess get system was ready to go.

I've had a hen lay twice in one day ~ when she first came on the lay. I put it down to her system not having sorted out all its kinks yet. Like you I collect my eggs multiple times a day ~ to discourage our predators who like chicken eggs. The eggs were on the smallish side.
