Two hens sharing momma duty, should I separate them?

So two hens are now trying to raise one chick. One hen laid the whole time and the other stepped in to "help" during the last week. I have no way to know which hen is the true momma since they look alike and they're both stepping up to the plate. Is there any reason to think that they'll start fighting and hurt either themselves or the new chick? I'm watching close as I can but I have to go to work during the day so my time to watch them is extremely limited.

My suggestion,,,, is let them both do the mothering. I would go one step further,,,,, and sneak some more chicks from the store under them.
