Two Hens sitting on one nest?

Two of our Buff Orpington hens are Broody on the same nest? What will happen? Will one fight the other to protect the chicks? HELP!

Separate them and divide the eggs between the two. Tha's all i can think of...

It happens a LOT in my flock.

Usually mine are able to hatch and raise chicks together just fine.

I had 2 broodies that were sitting a week apart. After the first one hatched her eggs, she climbed into the other broody's nest and helped sit on her eggs, with her 3 chicks.

All eggs have hatched and both mama's are raising these little chicks. All are still in the pen, they are all getting along great.

Mine are banty RIR mamas.
