Two incubators and lots of chicks!

We have a rooster and two hens from previous years after several intruders picked off a few at a time. We plan to build a new coop and a run closer to the house so we can hear any commotion. What a thrill finding the chicks hatched and watching them grow! We look forward to learning from others who enjoy their flock as much as we do!

Are you going to completely secure your coop and run using 1/2" hardware cloth so that you have no openings larger than a 1/2" into the coop when it's secured at night? That will protect them from the vast majority of predators.
