Ive check for pasty butt and that is not it. It is not eating probably because she feels horrible due to not passing food. Eating food might help with any digestion issues but I cant get her to eat. It seems like a catch 22 situation. I have administered amoxicillin, doxycillin and Corrid as well a wormed the entire flock over the past week with Wazine. Im at a loss as to how to help her. I also gave her some sugar water via an eyedropper. Her breast bone is quite prominent so Im guessing she has not been eating for a while now. I just noticed here struggling to poo in the coop this morning and have now isolated her. Im keeping an eye on her and see that she plays with food every once in awhile but then tucks her head and goes back to sleep. The wakes up when she struggle to poo and that is about it.

Ive had the exact prblem wit my naked neck chick (turken) what i did was monitor eating and i put all th chicks into a empty coop with dirt I think that whenever she was exposed to dirt she ate some and used that for her grit and that solved it she is fine now also try feeding it some corn meal and see what happens if that dosent work. Feel free to ak any questiond if you need any more help if I didin't explain everything. Good Luck!:thumbsup

OK, she is awake and nosing around the food in the brooder I put her in.

if you put her by herself it may make her be scared so if she is by herself keep her company also why do you put her feed on the ground she may accidently eat her own poo. If you have a spare feeder please put it in there instead of spreading it on the ground that may also help some. Good Luck!!:D:thumbsup

I keep her in the brooder near me and the other chickens during the day. She is sleeping in a cardboard box on my bed next to me. I put a heating pad on low over the box and a digital therm to make sure the environment is acceptable. No struggles to poo today that I noticed. Poo has gone from runny to solid and dark from light yellow. Im still dosing her with wormer, corrid, amox and doxy as I try to cover all bases of issues I can possibly cure. The food on the ground is where it has been knocked out of the food bowls. They seem to prefer scratching and pecking so they removed food from containers to dine. They only time she signals to me by crying is when her brooder gets into the shade as the sun moves. Otherwise she seems quite content to be left alone. I bet the others in the yard were bullying her as she tried to eat or just stand in the sun for warmth. This is a much better situation for her while she is not feeling well. Thanks for all the feedback. Ill update as things change, hopefully for the better.

What type of food is that?
Does she have a source of grit available?
Do you have photos of the poop?

You mention you are still giving her wormer, Corid, Amox and Doxy - what dosages are you giving?
Wazine is only given for 1day, then repeated again in 7-10days, it should not be given daily.

Corid is generally safe to use when the proper dosage is given for 5-7days as the only source of drinking water. I would continue the Corid for the full 7days of treatment.

Check her crop to make sure it's empty every morning before she eats/drinks. Her symptom is having trouble pooping correct? Provide her with wet chick starter only, see that she is drinking well. Make poultry grit available free choice.

Once you finish your Corid treatment, offer poultry vitamins and probiotics.
