Much to the chagrin of my wife I placed 2 dozen eggs in the Brinsea last night. These are from my white Rock flock which are good birds with well behaved roos. In 3 weeks I may just have another good batch of peeps running around the brooder.
I'll probably put these up for sale on Craigs list to help offset the feed prices. I figure that I should be able to get $1.50 for straight run chicks. As I explained to my DW I can get $2.00 a dozen for eggs for eating. $12.00 a dozen for hatching eggs. Or $18.00 a dozen for chicks. This just makes more sense imho.
