Two of my chicks got a bit too close to the family cat....!

I actually got Miyako-chan as a stray. She's about a year old (we think) but is just the biggest pushover kitty, ever. The only thing she likes to prey on is my toes beneath the blankets, and the occasional shed feather from one of the birds. But she leaves the birds themselves alone just fine. Although every so often she has to show our equally amiable GSD (who likes to herd peafowl) who's boss and gives her nose a bit of a whack when she won't stop licking her.

I can just hear that cat purring. That's precious - and I don't like cats.
