A couple years ago I read (in multiple places) that when chicks are about 5 days old you can determine sex by wing structure... So, here are 6, 5 day old Wyandottes. I predict the first two are pullets (more developed flight feathers) and the last 4 are cockerels -- anyone have exp with this early sexing protocol?
And -- it looks like one is silver, perhaps? I ordered 6 red laced from cackle hatchery and one has stuck out like a sore thumb since I brought them home on Tues.
