Two questions....

Hey there. Rather than creating 2 threads, here goes... #1 I asked my husband to get the block of seeds that I like to get my flock. They peck at it, and it lasts a good 3 weeks, as a treat. He came home with a different kind of block. This one is called "Gamebird Block", and it's made by Sportsman's Choice. It shows larger birds on the cover, and there are rather large, hard corn pieces on/in it. I'm worried about those pieces getting caught in my girls throat. Thoughts? #2, I brought my brothers two hens into my flock of 7 girls and 1 guy. One of these new girls is a bully to my girls. They are all afraid of her. She pecks at, and chases my girls away if they want to eat or drink, while she and her sister (these are the 2 new girls) eat & drink. I want to get rid of the mean girl. My girls don't deserve this. Hubs says to leave it, because it's natural pecking order, but...not cool man! It has been a month now, will she ever stop bullying and start being part of the crew?

answer to first question no they will not choke ive seen my chickens eat some weird stuff whole as for the bully if shes chasing constantly then id get rid of her i have a bully hen that is literally chasing my ss and barreds around thinking of getting rid of her and shes not even the biggest hen

It's such a bummer because this bully ( Her name is Joanna) is gorgeous! She is a BIG girl, and she's black and white speckled. Not sure what breed she is. I wanted to love her, because I have always wanted a black & white speckled girl.
