Two redundant items: Farm and Gym Membership

lorain's fids :

This line from your blog made me laugh...." The rules for the exercise are that you have to be lying in bed and can’t start chasing the horses until you hear hoofbeats running past your window."

That's a true story from last week. Long sequence of events:
- Girls got horses out of pasture to saddle them up for a trail ride and didn't close the gate (gate from pasture to barn runouts still open as well)
- One daughter fell off the horse hard while racing her sister back from the ride. She was OK, but shaken up a bit. Got back on and did some riding in the ring.
- Other daughter unsaddled and put the horses away direct in the stables (again... all the gates still open), then came in to check on her sister.
- Rain and wind hit later that evening. Sometime around midnight, a tree went down in the woods behind the runouts.
- We hear the horses run by, and soon are out in our rubber boots, PJs, and barn jackets calling for the horses. It's overcast and completely dark.
- Both come tearing out of one of the trails, snorting and wide-eyed, and nearly overrun my wife who they can't see.
- We end up spending a bit of time cooling them down and restocking the hay feeders to get them calm.
- My alarm goes off at about 0430 for work.
