These 2 girls were either dumped or got very lost. They are living in a protected watershed area miles from any farms or homes, so I plan to rescue them soon and bring them home to my small backyard setup. Any idea what brreds they are? I'm especially curious about the little one..which I assume is some sort of game bird? (When it ran, it reminded me of a road runner!)
Pics aren't great since they are from my phone while they are still in the wild...but any help is appreciated. The little one has a tufted head. Large one is black with very red comb and wattles...but doesn't seem to be a black Australorp...which I already have...the feathers don't have a blue sheen...they are almost brown/black and her feet are greyish in color.
