Two RIRs? Age, gender = ??? [pic heavy]

Age will make a difference. If they are 14weeks I would say pullet, But if they are 9 weeks they are roos. The combs don't look too bight red. I can's see any tail feathers. In one pic I think I see some pointy saddle feathers but I'm not sure about that.

My impression is pullets. And they do look more like BOs than anything else.

Very interesting. I would ask the guy I got them from, but he didn't seem very knowledgeable about breeds (tried to talk to him about different egg-laying/dual-purpose breeds).

They're starting to make non-cheep sounds, finally. Seems like they're imitating the hens. ("Prrrrrrk!", except higher pitched with the youngsters.)

They look like cockerels. I would say that they are a R.I. Red / Buff Orpington cross and not a full blood R.I. Red..

dont know what breed these are, but vote 2 cockerels. They look much darker than my BO.
