Two Roos

Another one of my "hens" started to crow.

Not really. I guess he was just a late bloomer. All my birds are the same age (4 mo.) but one has been crowing for a month already. I heard two crows at almost the same time this morning. Either I have two roos or 1 really talented one. One roo is a BR & I think the other is an EE. I guess I will have to get rid of 1 of them. I started with 10 birds in sept. Now I am down to 2 known roos & I hope the other 5 are hens.

With their tongue?

If you could post pictures showing legs, head, tail, and body we may be able to help you tell the sex. At 4 months, it should be possible. I don't have EE's but I would expect them to taste like other chickens.

If they have pointy feathers in front of it's tail and pointy feathers on the neck and a good sized comb and wattles that are a nice red you should know that you have a roo. Also pictures should help.
