Hi Moonshiner, I misunderstood Golden Brahma post. I thought she only had 3 birds total & 2 of those were roo's. I've been very successful having multiple roo's when they have lots of girls. Thanks for the educationThat's called cock blocking but it won't matter the hen will be fertilized.
I have a ton of roosters in my laying flock and most breeding pens have multiple roosters and I've never had fertility issues from any of them.
You aren't gonna stop a rooster from breeding.
(cock blocking) is actually a term used in reference to humans blocking one another from "hooking up" In theory it pertains to the same behavior the roo's are exihibuting, but I think I will stick with my terminology thanks.
