25 days old. I know this is probably early for this breed, but I wanted to start the thread to update on development because there isn't a whole lot on this forum on sexing these as they grow up. Thanks for looking and I welcome guesses!

Very cute! Orloffs are very difficult to sex. I would think minimum of 7-8 weeks before even trying. Obviously as with any breed a large or red comb developing is going to indicate gender, but this takes a while in the breed and factored in with the walnut comb make waiting a necessity :)

Hey, Orloffs!!!!! Your chicks are SO cute. I’ve found too, there’s just not much info on this breed. My guess is yours are both pullets. I have a chick that we’re still guessing and it’s almost 10 weeks old 🥴. Some say definitely cockerel others (including the farm we got it from) say pullet.

Yours looks like it's getting beard and muff. I don't think either of my orloffs are going to have beards and muffs which is a huge bummer.

Here is an update. They are 35 days old today.

I definitely see nice muffs on the second chick. 🥰. I’m still saying pullets.

I know it's only been a few days, but I took the chicks outside for some sunshine today and felt like I should take better photos of these birds. I also weighed them, to see if there was any significant discrepancy.

The bird that looks more "pied" with large patches of white is a whopping 330 grams, where the other orloff chick is weighing 240 grams. I'm seeing pretty much nothing going on with the smaller bird's comb, but the other bird's comb is slightly more colored, and has more topography.

I'm dreading that I have another rooster in my bunch. :(
