Darker one is named Gannon, Jr. He looks *just* like his dad at this age, who we were forced to rehome in late May due to city restrictions. (See pic 6 for how he'll look full grown). Junior was hatched June 10th so he's 12 weeks old. He just started using his "big boy" voice a couple days ago, so it's only a matter of time before the neighbors call on him.
He's been handraised by my kiddo, who plays with him several times a day. He's super tame and gives hugs and kisses. His mom, I believe, is our Black Austrolorpe. (pics 1-3)
Lighter Grey laced one is Eeyore. Hatched June 22. He's 10.5 weeks old. He's a good boy. I chose him because he was so chill to hang out with a hatchmate who had splay leg (that we fixed!
) So sad that he started getting wattles, as they're such sweet buddies, but, again, neighbors... Due to his more "blue" coloring, I think his mom is our Saphire Gem gal. (pics 4-5)
Saphire Gems are a mix of Black Austrolorpe & RIR, also called Rhode Island Blues. This breed lays large, brown eggs.
The hatched 3 batches of babies hatched from their dad, and the babies with our Amberlinks/Austrolorpes/Brahma/RIR range from white, silver, and red (depending on the mama)... but mostly the grey lacing with darker heads. Such pretty birds! I can send pictures of the other chicks we've hatched, if you add them to the flock for breeding. We sold their hatchmates as "straight run barnyard mix" for $5 apiece. (example of hatchmates pic 7)
Will deliver to surrounding area. These guys aren't buddies, so need to go seperately. Not for meat. They'll make pretty babies for your flock.
