Two Shell-less eggs Just Fell out of a Frightened Chicken!

It was the oddest thing. My daughter was petting our Rosie Girl, who was making her usual happy clucking sounds in my daughter's arms. A loud noise startled Rose, and two eggs fell right out of her. One a yolk, one an egg without a shell. Has anyone heard of chickens having the eggs scared right out of them?

Lot's of reproductive problems happen with stress, just like with humans.

I had a dog attack and got some shell less eggs that day and no more eggs for another month.

How long after a scare can a hen not lay?
We had a predator reach through the fence and get 2 of our chickens a couple of days ago and now the duck eggs are all we are getting.

I've had them go a month or two after an attack before they started laying again.
