These sweeties were born March 24th so they are almost 5 weeks old now.

Same mom (a white leghorn/polish mix) and I don't know about the dads, I assume they were polish since the guy I bought the mom from had polish roos in the pen... the other roos were buff orpingtons.

#1: is this a girl, do you think? Very laid-back baby!

#2: I think this may be a boy but the attitude is quiet low-key, so I don't know...

#1 Pullet
#2 Cockerel

I have six Polish out in my brooder right now, and in the last two weeks the wattles have really started coming in and turn red. I hoped so bad one was a pullet but he was picking a fight with every other boy in the brooder, and now his comb is turning and the wattles are just getting redder and redder.

Good luck. She is a cute one!

Yeah, that's what I thought - awe too bad for the little slow-feathering roo, he's sooo cute but I will have to re-home him at some point

They're not pure polish but came out quite lovely anyways, I think!

That is what I thought with one of my Splash WC Polish. Then when they got put in the big brooder pen together, he was the one tearing after everyone else and now he is getting some quite noticeable red wattles along with the other 3 cockerel. I thought for sure with the huge poof head it was a girl. I was rather disappointed. Then one that was coming in rather sparsely I thought was a boy and is turning out to be a pullet. So, it takes more than the headdress.
