My Easter Egger (Bunny) has consistently been laying a greenish egg nearly every day - until yesterday when she laid a two-tone egg! There is a slight roughness where the color changes. Is this an indication of any sort of issue?

Sometimes there's just a glitch! One of mine always lays a speckled egg, on todays egg the speckles stopped 3/4 of the way up like her paint sprayer ran out of paint at the very end, lol. I wish I had taken a pic before I ate it.

Spray booth glitch.
Tho I have had several birds that lay multi-toned egg all the time.
Nothing to worry about.

Looking closer that looks like some excessive calcium, thus the roughness.

The multi-toned eggs are pretty - lucky you!

The laying feed I'm using does have calcium in it, but because they free range most days I also have oyster shell available to them in a separate dish. Should I be doing something different?

I send my daughter egg pics all the time, while she sends me grandson pics :D
