Two weeks and no eggs... what's going on?

I just got a Silkie hen two weeks ago and she still hasn't laid. Silkies aren't exactly egg machines, but I didn't think they would go this long without laying. The other chicken I got at the same time (an EE) has started laying. She is undoubtedly a hen... so what's going on?

By the way, she's been acting completely healthy. The farmer I got her from told me she was 7 months old.

I keep forgetting something to add, sorry!
There's cayenne pepper in bother her food and scratch grains, and I don't let her free range unsupervised so she can't be laying somewhere else. It could be that she just hasn't started laying- the farmer said that she just started but there were other black silkies in the run that looked just like her. Do infertile chickens occur?

She might not be ready to lay yet because she's only 7 months. But she should soon though!!

OK, good to know. She is my first bantam, I've raised two chickens from pullets and they started at 5 months. 0.o
