I'm perplexed. I have 7 hens; 5 molted last October-November. They started laying again this winter, and by end of February were almost in full swing; we were getting 4-6 eggs a day. In early April they tapered off, and for the past 3-4 weeks, we get only 1 egg a day, sometimes none, from only four of the 7 chickens. Three have quit laying altogether, although 1 of those 3 is definitely molting. Must be one of the birds that missed the group-molt last fall.
The weather is getting nicer (70's), the days are long and drier, the chickens are getting more free range time than usual; what do they have to be stressed about? Any ideas?
