Tylan 50 injectable for Silver Laced Orpington

My huge SLO Roo sounded gurgly for lack of a better word. No discharge, sneezing, etc... I'm thinking respiratory infection. His eating and drinking seem okay. Well, I was tired o hearing him gurgle, so I tried Tylan 50. Intended to give 5 doses, but only made it through 4. I realized I hadn't heard him gurgle. Well, day 6 heard the gurlge. Gave the situation to God. Haven't heard him gurgle anymore and he even started mating (he's 6 months old now). Hope it doesn't make him sterile LOL

Check his crop to make sure it's emptying overnight - feel it at night when he is roosting and then first thing in the morning before eating/drinking. (Full at night/empty in morning). Sometimes crop issues can have a gurgling sound.

Respiratory symptoms can be due to illness, dry dusty feed/bedding, excess droppings (ammonia) and molds as well. Investigate your coop and feed to make sure there is no mold and ensure there is adequate ventilation/airflow in the coop.

I'm not sure what you are referring to that would make him sterile? The antibiotics or illness?

I'm wondering if antibiotics can affect ferility. I didn't bother checking his crop since all his symptoms have gone away by day 6. Should the symptoms start up again, I will do that.
None of my other birds have it, and I have close to 50 including several Narragansetts.
