There's no drainage or pus at all. Just red, bulging from corner of eye. The symptoms don't match anything I've researched I'm leaning more towards an irritation or injury at this time. Brooder always kept clean, fresh food and water. Added sandbags grit so maybe she got sand in her eye. I'm going to try to hunt down the vet rx this weekend Loving all of the feedback. TY !!!!!!

still no improvement.... Since eye worm is related to cockroach, and I don't have any cockroaches, I did not try the ivermectin.... However, it did not get any worse.... Still at a loss

on second thought, I found that eye worms can be transmitted through flies... so, I guess it is a possibility...

thinking it might be some kind of eye worm now since no other treatment has worked... I have the invermectin paste that I use for my dog,... would this work? if so how do i administer it? ty for all of the input!

A 4 week old chick with eyeworm? No way. You can see the worm(s) in the eye, thin, whittish in color. Birds are always scratching their eye, that's what causes blindness. Here's pics.

Shes 6 weeks now. I'm not 100% sure either. This whole thing has me stumped. Tried neosporin terramycin. Just put a few drops of 1% ivermectin mixed with baby oil on her head. Waiting for vet rx to come in the mail. This whole situation has me stumped.
