type of run

Hi, everyone- new to chicken raising- bought a coop but wondering how to build a run easily, or if it is really needed. We live in the country, and will definitely let our chickens out everyday but would like an opinion on their use of runs. thanks! We are only starting with 6 chicks.

We also live in the country. I am in process of building a new coop and run to keep the girls safe from the neighborhood dogs, cats, the coons that visit the creek and ponds nearby, and the hawks that live in the top of the big tall pine tree just down the road.

Going to do a hoop run make of cattle panels covered in hardware cloth. Will go up pretty quickly, not take a lot of framing and the girls will be able to get out and about sooner.

of course, they're still in the brooder now, so I have time
