Ugh. I guess I didn't get chickens soon enough.

I've wanted chickens for a long while. I bought my chickens before I knew about the sick chickens getting culled in factories. I just wanted the joys of chickens in my yard. Well my girls will be laying around October, I hope. Every time I run out of eggs I just think, soon I won't have this problem.

We'll yesterday morning, I did just that. I went to the grocery store last night and an 18pk of eggs was 4.89 a pack. I almost had a heart attack. I was planning on selling my extras $2.00 because that's what the people down the road sell there's for. But seriously, $5.00 for tasteless little eggs? I'm going to my neighbors this afternoon and getting my order in for first thing in the morning tomorrow. They sell out so quickly.

Farm fresh eggs are awesome!

You know it's bad when the "regular" eggs and the "fancy free run cage free happy hens" eggs don't have much of a price difference at all...

I can't wait till my freeloading teenagers start producing too lol.

Neighbors are sold out all week. Back orders. So I called my Aunt, she usually doesn't sell them. But she has 3 dozen available for purchase, so for a dollar more I'm getting double the eggs and they will taste SO much better than store bought.
