UGH! I never have any privacy!

2 of the cats stalk you when you go in the shower. I think they are trying to warn me about the evil water spout in there!

Lol the cat in my avatar is the reason I shower with the door open. He makes such a fuss if the door is closed, regardless of which side of the door he's in. (He hates being trapped in the bathroom but wants to be in the same room with me)

I can so relate, I have a big glom and small eating machine that follow me no matter where I go and yes when I go to the ladies room when i come out there they are,..when i go to bed and try to get up and put my feet out of the bed they always land on one or the other.
The new one is if I have a duck in my lap, when i put it down the big glom tries to lay across my lap in duck fashion,..it's getting absurd.

I gave up shutting the door unless there's company...then I have to shut every door on the way and give my husband that , "Watch Little Ugly." look.

Daisy is the Omnipresent.

I watch 'It's me or the dog' on TV and there's a solution that I tried and it worked.

Here goes:
My dog would follow me into the bathroom - no privacy.
So I went into the bathroom and then out again, just opening and closing the door. I did it maybe 20 times and then she stopped bothering to even look in my direction.

Another way is: go into the bathroom and leave the door open - when she comes thorugh the passage, with your body, not your hands or voice, body block her until she is out of the room. Say good girl and go back into the bathroom and start again... 20+ times might be necessary the first time you do it, but it's much less time after time.

the problem with the bathroom is that consistency can be an issue, especially if you rrrreeeally have to go.

I practiced these on my 3/4 mo old shep/lab mix. She almost never goes into the bathroom... with or without me.

Of course this can work or any room or situation. consistency is key... and letting the dog know that she is good for not following you.

Good luck

My wife recently lost her little clinger, "Sabrina." She is in the process of looking for another. Im not much for cliniging, and I certainly dont want to accompany Lori to the bathroom.
She seems to need someone, though, who does.

SO the search begins for another...

Yes! lol, Im not alone! I feel sorry for my grandma who is the puppy sitter, she has four nosey nauzers with her all day . Sometimes 6. 4 minis and 2 standards!
Right now my little stalker ahs wedged herslef between two pillows on my bed, she is pretending to be a secret agent!

i have a lil baby chick who is my stalker and a crazy hen too. my dogs somehow can open the bathroomdoor and ones a crowd in there much less me and two dogs. its all in the name of love though

God forbid I:
*attempt to expel waste from my body without supervision from a cat
*sleep without supervision from a cat
*eat without supervision from a cat
*read without supervision from a cat
*watch tv without supervision from a cat
*take a shower without supervision from a cat

Supervision usually means that 1 of the 2 resident felines is underfoot and complaining that they're getting stepped on.
