Ugh I wish dh would be more careful

BabyBlue - whenever you take a picture of a print like that just lay a quarter (25 cent piece U.S.) next to the print before you take the pic. A U.S. quarter is 1 inch in diameter. That print looks like a K9 print to me. Probably a local pet snooping around to sat hello. A Coyote print would be small as they do not get very big. I should say not usually as big as a typical house pet 80# dog that gets regular meals every day.

You might try googling coydog we do not see that many anymore that yotes have such a stronghold now ,if you are in pa yotes get good size up that way 40-60 pounds it is about time for them to be feeding litters of pups

FWS has just discovered most yotes have a bit of red wolf dna

well this morning the prints look more like smeary mess's then prints. as far as 3 inches for size, I should have said for most dogs in this area that bigger then average. the first print I found was much larger. the only neighbor that has anything that even comes close in size is the one rottie, but that dog is locked up tight, does not get lose and I checked, his prints are still smaller then the first set.

I think the most likely explaination is someone has a new big dog. it seriously gets on my nerves that they cant keep it on their own property.

Live in wester pa and yotes and coydogs get pretty big.
5 years ago father inlaw took at 43lb coyote. Biggest I have seen, paws were huge.

def not a mt. lion. The palm is too small

I say coyote or new dog

This is coyote that my wife shot this winter. It's a big one, over 50lbs. very small paws about 2 1/2 inches.
BTW My wife rocks!!!!!

haha well the tracks are most likely a neighbors dogs, but last night when the house was quite guess what I heard? sounded like 3 or 4 coyotes talking to each other. I got dh and made him listen and he agrees with me. haha if dh thinks I am ever doing late night pasture duty again.
