UGH!!! Kids chasing chicks, cute??? REALLY???

i would see if she is willing to give them to a Florida member of byc I am sure there would be someone will to take them. Most likely they won't escape but will become some animals meal.

I don't understand this mind set lets buy the kids some fluffy chickens or ducks let them chase them and scare them then not take care of them they are just some stupid animal. This is why the dog pounds are full of unwanted pets just makes me so mad. I am sorry stepping off my soap box now.

My kids freaked when I kileld our sick hen,so I can forget them wanting to eat their chickens. I would never let my kids or any other chase animals.That is sad that to her it is entertainment. To each their own I guess.
 
People tend to forget that Animals of any species are living breathing creatures and need a safe place to sleep, food , water and a little kindness, getting your kids chicks or bunnys as basically a toy is sooo wrong, I have a sister that does that with puppies, she gets them because their cute and then off to the pound they go when the cuteness wears off, I raise toy poodles and would never sell one to my sister (though I love her dearly) never would I place an animal with her. And I personally think that they should ban the sale of chicks or bunnys for the easter Holiday because if you really want a chicken or bunny as a pet or livestock you won't mind waiting til the Monday after right? Anyway Im so sorry for the little chicks and for the children learning that its ok to get a live animal as a toy. Hopefully the oldest child at least will be willing to raise them and convince the mom and dad to do right and build them a safe shelter and keep them fed. So Sorry , Sandy

I'd offer up a "safe house" in St Pete's, but mom just sold it! Waaaaaa! I wanna help but I'm too far away...How about I raise your bail money?
