Ugh...new chicks with watery nasal discharge

Just wanted to correct a statement. If it is MG then it can be passed from hen to egg, and thence to chick. It also appears after stress, and moving birds to a new home is stressful enough to make it show up.

Sorry you're going through this, we've pretty much all done it.

Thanks everyone. This was too sudden to be from stress from moving to a new home. I lost one Cornish and culled a Modern Game. Shouldn't have lost a half grown bird in 24 hours if there was nothing wrong with it! This was the one that started coughing by yesterday afternoon.

He wouldn't take them back when I asked him yesterday. Then, someone let one of my birds sneak past them into the house (she has boundary issues!) so now my entire flock is exposed. I injected them all today with LA-200. Hopefully that will help. These were supposed to be for breeding and showing.

I think he knows. He's just playing dumb.

Thanks,

Shelly
