Ugly feet and legs!

Hi everyone. I recently adopted my chicks from my son because he's moving. I noticed that one, I call her Gracie, has bumps and crusty legs. Is this normal? I'm not sure how old she is, could it be due to her age? Help!

It really does look like their infected and they look sore. I feel so sorry for her. Help!

Scaley leg mites is one thing it MAY be.

Scaley mites as a previous poster mentioned. I don't know how common my methods are but I use coconut oil on ugly legs and feet.

If it is scaly legs mites, applying vaseline will cure it!

I've never seen legs that rough. I'd probably use the Vaseline mentioned by another member.

I hope her legs get better!

How did you son manage to overlook her feet & legs? They look horrible and swollen. I would think she needs an antibiotic from the vet, as well as topical ointment . Poor girl.

If is it those mite things the idea is to apply enough vaseline to block the air getting to them so that they can't breath, so if you try that keep a good thick layer on.

Thanks all! I'll try the Vaseline first. I'm afraid if I put coconut oil on the legs the others will pick at it.
