Uh Oh… Roo???

Uhhh so does this sound like a rooster crow to anyone else???? I’ve never heard her…. or it… make this noise, she’s only made the peep noises like my other hens. And i’m not really sure which chicken it came from…. these ones are about 20 weeks old…

The one in the middle(salmon faverolles?) Is crowing.

Do you have a rooster? That looks like a hen. She could be assuming role of rooster.

Not that i know of??? i bought (thought) all pullets. She’s never made the rooster crow before and i thought roosters started crowing at a young age

Do you have any pictures of the rest of your flock? Salmon Faverolles have sex specific coloring and the one pictured is definitely a pullet. Salmon Faverolle cockerels at this age look very different than the pullets and are mainly white and black.
