Hi guys -
Last week I posted this thread: https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=325632
and
this picture:

And most of you agreed that my four girls were pullets.

But today, I noticed a change in Lily's comb and she's looking more like a rooster to me. Here are some outdoor shots of Lily taken this morning. Is it possible she is a pullet? (fingers crossed & hopeful she is not a roo!)

Sorry - I forgot to mention, she is 6 weeks old.
Yes, her comb is more reddish than her sisters. I have two ISA browns (Gingerhams) and 2 White Leghorn/Australorp crossed.
They all have light pink combs (see the first thread for a pic of all 4 girls taken just last week).
But today, Lily's comb has taken a reddish tinge and it scared the pants off me.

At just six weeks and having a redder comb then the others it IS possible it could be a roo but sometimes pictures don't always show the "correct" color. And I know my young sex link started with a redder comb then the others and for the longest time I thought roo but she ended up having a huge comb but she was a hen

I'm going to vote hen just becuase of that reason

Lily looks roo-ish enough to me. I'm not an expert, since I first thought ALL my chicks were roosters last year when I started keeping chickens, because they were growing combs. (I didn't know hens grew combs at all, back then!) I was so relieved to learn they were, indeed, pullets. And Lily looks like one of mine I worried about for no reason. ;-)

I vote pullet. no wattles. and the comb isn't all that red. one of mine got kind of a sun burn thing going on and I was freaked out thinking she was a roo, but then the comb peeled a bit and the normal color returned.
