Knowing the risk of egg infertility, I'd love to import some hatching eggs or fowl from the UK, bu can't find a single source for any of my chosen breeds. I have family there but that does't seem to help. Any ideas?

What you are asking about is illegal if not done correctly. It is also expensive and takes time. Ever wonder why recently imported varieties cost so much? What are you trying to get that does not exist here?

I have carefully researched the regulations, understand the law - it's not illegal, in fact import from the UK is remarkably straight-forward by most import/export regulations, and viewed the forms and I'm willing to bear the cost. In fact, accustomed to the process of importing horses, I do not wonder why someone doesn't import since it's a huge commitment to tally with specific goals which I have for breeding, and is far more money and time than a hobbiest normally would employ. None the less, I have every intent of trying to get a strain to out-cross my birds with as this commitment to quality is important to me.

I only said it was illegal if not done correctly. If you got the $$ then do it. So what breed is it?

I'm after 4 types of lavender colors of different breeds, and if I can make it work, Cream Legbars for a friend sort of "while I am at it". :)
