Looks like a pullet to me. It is very dark, and in barred breeds the males usually have much more white relative to black because males have two copies of the barring gene.

No kidding! I did not know that. Love this little fact!

Couple more weeks should tell the tale...male will be much redder.

That comb seems really big for four weeks, but in the pictures the feather color looks more pullet... so I'm not sure Can you post more pictures in a few weeks?

I’d say pullet, even with a big comb. I have a barred rock pullet whose comb was that big when she was younger than that

I say pullet, there looks to be no pinking in that comb at all and no visible wattles either.
